Nigel identified that my most successful work is the lace trim because it has broken edges, like my drawings, is constructed and double sided. I'm a fabric maker rather than an embellisher,
which made sense as I'd been aware of struggling with how to place the flower motifs onto fabric.
- Draw more and translate these images into stitch.
- Research lace making to develop a range of bespoke trimmings and edges for my major project.
- Look at drape and pattern potential and joining mechanisms.
